It Snowed Us In!

We had a big beautiful snow! I love to be snowed in. I love to prepare by driving my crazy self to the crazy grocery store and buying all the goodies to make soup or chili and brownies or anything that will bake and make the house smell cozy as the flakes fall. I love how the kids are amped up and I especially love how my honey can work from home and be with us.  This snow was awesome.

I am also usually the wait by the fire and make cocoa kind of mom while the kids and dad go out and freeze.  But, this time I joined in, and I have to admit, it was pretty fun...until I got cold.

Derek also took the kids sledding down the hill near our house.  They had a BALL.  He took video with the GoPro camera and I will have to show you soon.  The hill was perfect for the littles to get back up without wearing themselves out.

And when we were finished freezing our fingers off, we played games inside, made crafts and pictures and rode bikes...yep. We rode bikes in the house, because I am the kind of mom that thinks that is fine. And, also because my kids are the kind that don't seem to go very fast!
